Street Party
As you can see the street party preparations are well under way….and the rain held off all afternoon, fantastic.
Following a quick dash to Leicester it was a BBQ-tastic afternoon followed by some games with the junior family members!
The Lakes
I decided it was time to get the ped out for a blast and we had arranged to visit our good chums up in Wickersgill for the remainder of the weekend!
So I spent Saturday morning planning the route to take in some scenery and make sure we had some interesting stops.
I managed to pull in the Squires cafe, along with a cracking route across the Yorkshire dales.

While there we indulged in some fantastic food as prepared by our Wynnie and took in a lovely hike around Blea Water Across High street, Mardale Ill Bell and Harter Fell. I have tracked this using endomondo but it seems a bit of a pain to display the google map route without being logged into endo! I’ll have another look at that later on…..
We saw plenty of wildlife including the Golden Eagle!

On the way back we dropped into the Wensleydale creamery unfortunately they weren’t producing that day but it was quite interesting anyway.
Our route back home on Monday was a reversal of the route up bar a couple of minor detours!
